        You are presently viewing a temporary website providing you our most basic information while we rebuild our permanent website into a state-of-the-art 21st Century communications center.  It is our hope that our finished website will serve to engage, educate and inform you and all East Baton Rouge Parish Republicans in the efforts of our executive committee to  build our party, promote our conservative values and elect qualified Republican candidates at  the national, regional and local level.  When completed, it is our hope that this website will serve to connect you personally with the party and its leadership, be a conduit for current information and events, provide helpful links to other Republican and government websites with interesting articles and news and serve as a tool for the development of our party and its membership.  Please bear with us while we proceed with this transition. 

The mission of the Parish Executive Committee (PEC) is to provide leadership for the Republican Party in East Baton Rouge Parish. We are committed to continuing to build our party membership, promote our conservative Republican values and to attract, recruit, train and assist strong Republican candidates for elective office at the national, state, regional and local level.  To fulfill this mission, we need one crucial ingredient – you!

The Republican Party of East Baton Rouge is committed to building a vibrant, grassroots organization that is willing to become actively involved in achieving victory at every level.  We are in the process of building a parish-wide network of citizen volunteers to help the Republican Party and its candidates pick up the conservative banner in their neighborhood and join with us as we continue to build the Party in our parish.

We are proud of our work in 2007 which helped our party elect a Republican Governor, Treasurer, Secretary of State, Commissioner of Insurance and Commissioner of Agriculture.  In 2008, we hope to continue to lead the charge with the election of a Republican President,  two Senators, and several Congressman.  In addition, during the fall, we will also elect an entirely new slate of local officials throughout East Baton Rouge Parish. 

Finally, with the recent change in our election practices and the return to a "closed" primary system, it is now more imperative than ever to identify and invite those registered independents and democrats who tradiationally vote republican to change their party affiliation in order to fully participate in our primary elections.  The newly elected leadership of the Parish Executive Committe has recently designated this challenge as being one of our top priorities for the coming year and are currently designing an initiative to achieve this goal.   

All members of the PEC are volunteers and we wish to invite you to participate in any way you can.  If you have ever thought about becoming more involved in the political process by serving on a committee, working for a candidate or making a financial contribution to the party, we wish to urge you to step up now and get involved with the party.  Your help and assistance is both desired and and needed - you can make a difference. 

So, spread the word.  There's alot going on in our Republican Party and we want everyone to know that there really is a party going on and "Your Invited"!
